Notebook Ideas

Just thought I'd share a few notebook ideas with you! :D

Recently made this journal as a gift for a sweet friend. I covered a plain notebook with this fun red fabric and made a matching little pen pocket.

These sweet little notebooks were easy to make with fabric and lace scraps, ribbons, flowers and some beads.

This was fun to make - a Valentine's Day inspired romantic notebook for a good friend. :)

Tutorial 5 - Easy to make small sling pouch

Today's easy tutorial if to make this small sling pouch. It is an ideal size for small children, or if you only want to bring along a purse and your handphone.

You can make the template any size you like. I included allowances for seams in my template itself..

 Use your template to cut out the fabric pcs. Sew the bag as shown.

Cut the cord to your preferred length, Make sure that it is sewn securely and glue a button on top.

Hope you like this simple project!

This is another variation you can try with a rectangular template but using a ribbon handle instead. I decorated my little bag with a pretty vintage lady, laces and handmade ribbon flowers.

Tutorial 4 - Easy to make storage caddy

Organizing small stuff are a breeze with these easy to make storage holders. They are also a great way to use up fabric scraps! :)

This is how to make them.

Cut out 2pcs of fabric and 1pc of felt, size is 14 inches by 14 inches. 

Make a "sandwich" block.

Fold the block in half, mark out points A and B. 

Stitch from A to B.

Open up the block and fold the other half. Mark out points C and D, and stitch.

Open the caddy. Fold the flaps downwards and stitch.

Open the little pockets and stitch both sides down.

Decorate and embellish as you like.

Fabric Pumpkins

My girls wanted to make Halloween decorations for their room. Super heroes are now all the rage but they wanted to make pumpkin villains and came out with the following. We all had a really fun time doing these cute pumpkins.
